Effective Time Management Strategies

Typically time management is one of the most challenging areas to master, especially for women. Here are some strategies to consider for effective time management.

Creating your Absolute Yes List

Keeping the ultimate vision of what you want to create in your life and business will help you determine your YES list.

Ask yourself these questions when being asked to do something:

  • Does this bring me closer to my ultimate vision?

  • Do I feel good about doing this?

  • Do I really want to do this?

If you do not answer ALL three questions with an absolute YES then you should absolutely not commit to the request - even if you feel obligated.

Create Your To-Do List the Night Before

Not only will creating the list help you fall asleep faster, you will wake up with purpose and intention every morning. Doing this will keep you focused and productive.

Put Yourself on Your To-Do List

Self-Care FIRST - Care of others SECOND

It's simple: You cannot provide for others and be effective at anything if you are running on empty. Not only will it cause emotional and physical stress, but greatly impede your productivity over time.

Allow for Flexibility

You want to create a daily routine which helps you stay organized, but don't schedule everything down to the minute or you will never stick to the routine. Leave enough time in your schedule to be flexible to change your mind or agenda for the day.

Try NOT to Multi-Task

Seems crazy huh? Here's the thing about multi-tasking: When you are multi-tasking you are doing many things at once, but you are not doing one thing well. If you are feeling the need to multi-task then you have too many things on your to-do list and you want to re-visit them with your absolute yes questions.

Doing things sequentially allows you not only to dedicate your full energy and focus towards that item, it actually increases productivity. You will accomplish more if you are not splitting your attention between multiple things at once.

These are just a few strategies for managing time. If you feel this is definitely your main area of concern, I'd love to work with you to create your perfect time management solution. Today Is A New Day

It's important for each of us to remember each day is a new day. What happened yesterday, last week, last month or years ago does not matter. Each day offers us a fresh start. Every morning I make a point to ask myself - "Who am I going to be today?" Each day offers the ability to choose to be the person we strive to be even if we've made different choices the day before.

So, I ask you: "Who do you choose to be today?"

Until next time...

Enter the World of Blogging

This is my very first foray into the world of blogging. I am excited by the possibilities as well as nervous about putting myself out there.

Here's a little about me:
I have been happily married for almost 9yrs now to my hubby Erick and have a fun and amazing little boy named Isack who is 7. I have been self-employed for what seems like forever and have been extremely appreciative for the opportunity this has allowed me to stay at home with Isack as well as the time to pursue all the different things in life that interest me.
I have a huge love for natural health and am passionate about helping women create more choices in their life. I believe that women shouldn't have to choose between being a great mother and wife OR having a successful career - Women can be all that they want and choose to be, successfully!

My very first introduction to the world of business was with Sensaria Natural Bodycare. I have represented them for 5 years now and it has been and continues to be of the most amazing experiences. Sensaria has opened up many different opportunities for me, one of which is the world of personal life and business coaching. My first experience with a life coach came a few years ago and that experience really helped me to stretch outside of my box and take ownership for the life I wanted to live. I felt so empowered by the experience that I knew that this was another path that I needed to walk down.

I am proud to say that I have just graduated from an
ICF accredited coach training program - Ipec Coaching - and will complete my certification within the next few weeks! My coaching practice Growth In Action has stretched and challenged me to really be the best that I can be. My focus with this blog along with my Core Insight newsletter (sign up at Growth In Action website) is to offer my readers a resource for personal development, self-care and business development along with fun. I hope you enjoy! Until next time.....
